Lorraine on the Issues
SAFETY
Lorraine's top priority is safety. She believes the best way to make sure Champlin residents are safe in their homes, streets, in the parks and in our schools, is to make sure we are supporting our police department by fully funding them. In addition, Lorraine believes we need to maintain and enforce our local ordinances that are in place to keep our city residents safe.
RESPONSIBLE USE OF
PROPERTY TAXES
Lorraine supports keeping our taxes at a reasonable rate. She believes we accomplish this by City Council members making decisions to spend taxpayer money wisely and not over spending. We need to obtain the best possible resources for our city without higher taxes. We need to listen to Champlin residents as to what is important and necessary. Lorraine believes the city of Champlin
has done a fairly good job in this area and would like to help see this continue.
COMMUNICATION
Communication fosters transparency. Lorraine would like to see Champlin improve on how the city
communicates with its residents. Lorraine believes the city does a good job of this, but there is always
room for improvement. Lorraine wants to help the city of Champlin move forward in this area as well.
To continue with more ways to communicate with residents is vital. She believes better
communication will help the city staff and City Council work with residents to continue to make
Champlin “our place to live’’.
